Remanufacturing of brake calipers involves a 13 point process:
1. Start with a quality core
2. Disassemble the core completely for inspection
3. Clean caliper body and components with an ultrasonic cleaning process
4. Inspect the caliper body in the piston bore/s for pitting
5. Bores will be honed lightly if needed to insure free piston movement in the bore
6. Seal and packing recesses will be cleaned and inspected for pitting or scratches. Defects in this area might impede with sealing inside the piston bore
7. Inspect caliper pistons for any pits, scratches or corrosion that might impede sealing properties of the piston
8. Lightly buff pistons to insure smooth movement inside the piston bore
9. Inspect all threaded components for stripped, dirty or cross threading
10. Clean, re-thread or replace components as necessary
11. Re-assemble caliper using a caliper rebuild kit Made in Japan
12. Install new quality brake pads (if purchasing rebuilt calipers with pads)
13. Box the remanufactured calipers for your purchase
(External paint color and finish quality may vary)
